Weather effects on plates and screws from ski injury's

I dont know why it is caused but yesterday was extremely tough on me as well (park city). My shoulder was throbbing. Felt it in my knee and ankle as well. I have had multiple surgeries on shoulder and knee - single one on ankle. It sucks when there are days like those. I find that hot tub and steam seem to give a fair amount of relief. That and plenty of advil and tylenol

It's definitely true.  I felt in my shoulder after dislocating it.  i've heard a reason could be due to air pressure drop but I've also heard that is not a valid reason for it happening.  I think the truth is nobody really knows why it happens.

this was about four years ago and they will still randomly hurt.  i was all worried about weather changes causing pain, but they seem to have their own schedule.  i actually got it re-xrayed this summer because it was causing me a whole bunch of constant pain and it felt like a screw pulled out or something.  but it was just a random huge shooting pain where my body was pissed at all this stainless steel weighing down my left arm.  once i get the money and spare time for surgery and physical therapy, i will be taking them out.

my other surgeries did not leave hardware, but had more invasive scars.  ive found that the scars on those ones seem to be more prone to weather changes.  they get pink/red when its hot and purple/blue when its cold out.  free thermometer.  gotta massage them a bunch at first (when it still hurts) to keep that scar tissue build up and skin still being able to move.

Come to think of it... my right knee (dislocated twice) hurt like  hell for 1-2 days when the weather changed from cold and snowy to sunny. I didn't attribute it to the weather... it's probably just a coincedence really. Maybe just scar tissue being a bitch? Who knows...
