New to Skiing.

Ive been snowboarding for around 5 years. Decent at park. Can throw 5s and getting into urban rails. I have been inspired by skiers in park city. I tried out a friends and managed to hit a double kink rail and pull a 1 on a med size jump. I used to ski when I was young. I am going to go all out at park and freestyle. Basically force myself to get to the level I was at for snowboarding.

I have a few questions. (Also on major budget)

1. Skis?? Im thinking Line Invaders (found some for 160)
2. Boots?? really have no clue need to be under 200 if not cheaper.
3. Bindings?? not sure

I want my gear to be good so I can improve on it and not need to upgrade but I am on a major budget.

Any helped greatly appreciated.
Any tips on getting into skiing also greatly appreciated.

you're probably gonna have to throw alittle more in than that for boots, I'd look at getting the SPK boots and the rossignol scratch 120 binding..

as i have been told...

for boots go to your local ski shop and have them hook you up with whatever. Salomon boots are good, but then again, so are alot of other brands, just go with whatever. and as for invaders, if your getting into rails go for it. they are great skis. if you wanna do jumps more go anthems or something. bindings? go marker griffon or jester depending on your weight... hope that helped...

in my opinion if you have to choose, boots are more important than skis. i dont know much about boots but im not sure youre gonna get anything worthwhile for under 200 bucks. what i would do (and did last year) is buy new boots, and get used skis. i dont really know much about invaders but i know theyre full on soft park skis, not gonna be great anywhere else but it really doesnt matter, the only skis i have are old ass line park skis and its fiiine. as for bindings all i can tell you is look pivots are great, the ones with the turntable heel. maybe try to pick some used ones up

Yea, you'll need to try a few pairs because different brands fit certain feet more snug, as well as different models within a brand, so it is impossible to even reccommend one unless you already know what fits.

Hm thanks for the responses. Il take that into consideration with boots and dish out a little more than I hoped. I think im going with the INvaders because I will be riding skis only in park. Rails are my thing also. For boots anything that feels comfortable should work?? Anything that I should lean towards due to park riding?? Same as bindings? Does it really matter for boots or bindings relating to park??

Ya save money on the skis and put them towards boots
Also don't jip out on bindings because low qual. bindings can be a bitch trust me I've gone through it and ended up spending more money trying to fix it than for a good binding that I could've bought in the first place.

Invaders sound good, pick up some reliable bindings on NS and go get boot fitted. For boots make sure you're getting fitted by someone who knows their shit, and is listening to your request. Go with a friend that skis, preferably park, so he can help you out and tell you if the bootfitter is bullshitting.

meanwhile...spend alot of time on boots. at least an hour. try on pairs from different companies to get a feel of what foot shape fits you best. Boots are going to be typically much more expensive than 200$...especially if you want your gear to be good and legit, but mostly because boots are a longer-term commitment than skis. A good pair of boots that are fitted right will last you 2-3 years depending on how you use them, same with bindings. Id spend a bit more money on bindings, get something a bit more durable like PX12s or STH 14s.
