As advertised this current storm has dumped well over 2 feet of additional snow on the flanks of Gen. Stark Mountain (a solid 12-14" overnight on top of the 8-10" during the day yesterday followed up by maybe 4-6" today - kind of hard to tell due to the wind blowing it around) . Oh yeah and by the way it is still snowing and snowing hard! If my rudimentary math skills haven't failed me that means we have seen nearly 5 feet of snow over the past 5 days. Tuesday will be a "delayed powder day" as the Single was shut down for wind all day today. It's going to be SICK out there tomorrow folks! Forecasts are calling for even more snow this evening and into the morning before it finally clears up in the afternoon with temps expected in the 20's. It would seem that MRG meteorological guru, Josh Fox has nailed it once again and we owe him a collective "atta boy"! Despite being limited to the Sunnyside Double the skiing today was near mythic in scope. If you have been waiting to ski the legend that is Mad River Glen your wait is over - YOU OWE IT TO YOURSELF NOT TO MISS THE OPPORTUNITY TO SKI MRG WHEN IT IS LIKE THIS - IT IS GOING TO BE WORLD CLASS OUT THERE TOMORROW! Check out video from yesterday to see the conditions for yourself. Obviously all 45 trails will be open with 4 lifts expected to be spinning. The cats will be unleashed again overnight buffing out the vast majority of the greens and blues for your skiing pleasure. Lifts will run from 9:00 AM to 4:00PM. All this powder and all you'll have to pay is the low, low midweek lift ticket rate - a mere $39. It will be about the best $39 you ever spent!
