**2009 Cypress Halfpipe Canadian Series

 I was Just wondering who else is going to the Cypress Half pipe Canadian Series from February 28 to the 1st and have a few questions

How is the pipe?
How large is it?
Whats the snow situation there?

surprised that no one has responded to this.

look kids, you want FIS to take halfpipe skiing seriously then you better get out there and compete. sure there's never big prize money at Can Series events but you need to show the support.

oohhh id love to compete but i dont ski pipe!! i wish there was a big slope comp or somthing in van.

is it like finals on the last day or somthing? cuase il come out and support the event by watching finals

oh and as for your questions, its probs the best pipe in canada cuase its the olympic pipe for next year

I was there to day and the pipe was pretty good. its decently long and i think the walls 22' high . the only bad thing is one side of the pipe is in the shade and the other is in the sun so some times the walls are different speeds. There gonna need more snow but for right now its still fun.

yea well i ski the pipe at Canada Olympic park on a daily basis so i get the super high walls and the shade from them but i wanted to know if its more like a local mountain pipe right now or like an x games style with a large transition and is always being cut to keep it prime. i imagined it'll be good for the Olympics but is it good now?

I will be attending. And From pictures and vids I have seen it I decent but it's in a lil rougher shape then COP's pipe.

Its a decent pipe when maintained. 22 foot walls. Apparently its 15 feet short of the standard for snowboarding world cup events. They just hosted a world cup snowboarding event so the pipe *should* still be in good condition. As mentioned earlier, this will be the pipe for the 2010 Olympics.
