So my dad was a history major at Middlebury college in VT and one of his professor's was just on the show 60 Minutes about his idea to lower the drinking age to 18. He was the President/Headmaster at Middlebury for a while and resigned 4 years ago because he wanted to do more with his life.
i didnt hear the whole story but he said in highschool you should have to take classes your senior year (and maybe junior) on alcohol and alcohol abuse and you can get a "drinking license" which will allow you to drink legally at 18 and buy alcohol.
maybe a little farfetched but i didnt hear his whole argument but to me it sounded pretty good
