Now that I have your attention.

I love meeting fellow NSers, in the best ways.

So I work at a hospital in Summit County, and he was up here visiting for a week or so to ski.  Fucked his day up pretty bad and ended up in my unit. (PS lets all send him some good vibes.)

Anyyyyway..So I go in there to take his vitals and check on him, not having met him yet, and he's playing with his phone. I notice a NS sticker on it...so while im taking his blood pressure I asked him "how to get to Chad's from the bottom of Alta". His face was priceless...but he answered in the correct fashion, that SKI PATROL BLEW IT UP!

So we talked skiing for a bit, and I told him I was going to make a thread about this...I hope thats not creepy. Is that creepy?

What's cool is that probably in that split second his mind shifted from pain/injuries to excitement and good thoughts, even for just a short while.  It probably lifted his spirits just to have something unexpected like that happen.  Just such a shock that of all places and times haha.

DUDE HOLY FUCKING SHIT.


I know the kid. he fucked up his intestines coming off a jump at keystone. went under the needle a couple nights ago. Thank god his nurse is a NS'er, hook my boy up sarahskiis.

CNA, PCT, whatever you want to call it. I'm a patient care technician...so technically not his nurse. I'm just the person that goes in there all the time to check on things and try and make him a little happier.

Eventually i'll be a nurse though...maybe then i'll keep a NS sticker on my badge...and karma will come back at me!

my brother dislocated his elbow early this winter (he boards), and when we were at the hospital a skier came in after a gnarly fall, but he was alright. anyway, i asked him how to get to chads gap from the bottom of alta, and he said ski patrol blew it up... turns out he just knew that ski patrol had blown it up. cool story hansel, right?
