I hate it when people refer to any black run that is far away from the parking lot as the "Backcountry".  Or when people tell me I'm missing out on all the pow they just hit in the trees next to the green runs, as they point at my park skis.

People who dont seem like they are having a good time skiing. Id like everyone to have a killer day regardless of skill level so hopefully they can maybe feel what all of us feel when we are on the slopes. Really kinda brings down my mood as well. Other than that not much in the way of gripes. I mean there are little things like people making lots of extra traverse lines, cutting up landings, putting themselves in dangerous spots, skiing beyond their level, failing to bring gear/knowledge to the backcountry on a dangerous day. But meh, those things are all pretty minor and dont take much away from my day~

Ice and rain suck. Ice makes me wuss out more than usual, and my coat absorbs rain to the extent that its wetter on the inside of my jacket than on the outside.

No snow is lame, when i was at blue mt on last monday it was all man made and some of the runs were bare.
People hitting the backs of my skis in line, it's especially cause they stand on my tales and they chatter when the take there ski off.
Toebang, any injury for that matter.

sorry man but no its not.  you cant go out and just buy a boot... for some people full tilts may not fit like it might on you, a krypton pro or an SPK might fit better.  its all your foot.  if you have a correctly fitted boot then you will be fine.

The attitude some punks have on the hill. Most people are cool, but I can't stand a few of the asshats who spend half their day beaking people in the lift line or in the park.

Long lift lines blow too, but because of this crappy season I haven't really had to deal with it. I guess the majority of the tourists would rather chill down in the bars and resturants.

Days where the temperature gets pretty hot suck. I come to the mountain expecting to be cold, so I don't mind it. When it's suddenly +6 C I get really uncomfortable really fast.

worst thing is being cut off & such. it basically pisses me off so bad because i view it as straightup disrespectful and unsafe. yesterday my friend clearly waited her turn to drop into the pipe. she turned around, called her drop, and even waved her pole up to signal she was going. just as dropping down the wall, this old gaper couple comes shooting through. i'm just watching this from the drop-in cursing because then they're in there and all they can do is straightline while the rider in the pipe tries to go back and forth with their run.

i wasn't even the one who got cut off but it pissed me off sooo freaking much.

it's kinda silly, but one thing that "grinds my gears" is when the "new" foreign people start raving about the epic powder conditions when they aren't existent.

"oh, the powder in war eagle trees was AMAZING!, I dropped a 30ft cliff in there today, so good".


when in actuality - i did ski in the area of war eagle that day and the snow was, well - dust on crust, and the biggest cliff that exists is 12ft tops. I think the reason it bugs me so much is because I can't actually get mad at them for two reasons, one: they don't know any better and they truly think it was a really good run (i mean, they did have fun, didn't they?) two: if i do express my emotions to them about what they said, I come off as an asshole and won't have very many friends because I'll be labeled as a 'hater'.

I can ski them just fine, but not like some glen plake or some shit. When they are the size of mini vans and icy as fuck, they are as gay as aids

i cant believe nobody has said it

mommy and daddy bringing little suzy into the biggest park on the mountain so she can wedge off the lips for the rails and stand right in the middle of the knuckle on the largest jumps then fall down the landing holding up everyone who is actually using the jumps. and at my mountain instructors take lessons through the rail gardens and do trains off the sides of the lips for the jumps and rails. its rediculous.

and wind going straight uphill at 50mph
