Walls vs Dumonts vs Blends

Looking for a solid ski with 70% Park 30% All mountain with the best value. Have been skiing Karmas and like the wood core and stiffness of the ski. Any opinions on these three skis which I would like. Not many rails. Mostly jumps.

Walls are symmetrical so they aren't the best all-mountain skis, Dumonts would be fun pretty much anywhere if you don't ski a lot of soft snow or off-piste terrain, and the Blends will be fun everywhere especially if you get into some freshies.

i have personally skied the walls as an all mountain ski (my friend owns them) and i love them they are great. i unfortunately have not skiied the dumonts or the blends so im no help there but i truly liked the walls as an all mountain ski, and my friend loves them in the park they are a great bombproof stable ski for both jumps and jibbing.

Hey, the karma's are closer to bridges, and bridges are sick for riding and the 92mm waist holds its own in pow... so that'd be my vote... i hear the blends are fucking amazing and are my next ski, just waiting for them to go further on sale, but they are much softer then volkls, meaning the 100mm waist can float like mad but still charge in the park...
however if you want a sick still wide ski the prophet 100 is the same mold as the blend but with ti board under the topsheet,/ 90 is almost the same

yo dude... im the SAME as you... 70 park 30 mountain and the walls from last yr which i thnk are the same as this yr are amazing i love them so much... not to stiff but just perfect imo

Definitely go bigger than 171.  Somewhere around 180.  You're a tall guy.  You can handle it.

Ive ridden the blend and they are really really nice in pow, especially pow jumps. and they work in the park railing and stuff like that and the landings are wonderfull, but they might be a little to wide for alot of park?

yeah salomon's have been really bad this year. so much delaming and edge blowouts. i'm glad i didn't suspects and i got anthems instead.

The blend would probably be best, but i might recommend something a little narrower. IE the kung fujas perhaps?

imo Blend is more like 70% all mountain and only 30% park.  i think it's been mentioned that Walls are symetrical so keep that in mind.  if you're looking for a 70% park ski you might want to consider some Armadas, how about the AR6 (if you do lots of rails) or Pipecleaner (faster but less durable on rails).  if you want Line than Anthem (symetrical like the Wall) or the Chronic,

I've got 07/08 Blends[179cm] which are pretty similar in construction to the new Prophets.  Great, great, great all mountain ski.

I don't like them at all in the park though.  Way too stiff for me and they're slightly heavy.  I can't speak for the new Blends, but I can tell you the old Blends and the new Prophets are a bit less than a 30% park ski for me.  They're good on big jumps for their stability, but the weight and stiffness make them unwieldy for boxes, rails, and smaller features.

I demo'ed some Walls[176cm] the other day.  Very responsive, but stiff. (I like soft skis) As good as anything outside of the park, but really nothing exceptional.  These are way less than 70% all-mountain for me.

Never been on Dumonts.


If the new Blends are a bit softer and lighter, I can see that being a good fit.

dude have you skied walls? they fucking kill it all mtn. awesome skis, really balanced because they're symmetrical in the park, carve awesome, almost as well as karmas. not too bad in bumps. get them! oh get 185 too, coz the centre mount makes em ski very short.

yeah walls are amazing  i love mine for park and they are good for all mtn. but their symmetrical so they wont be the best all mtn

Line Blend exhibits the best quality construction and largest platform of those 3 options.  Rip all mountain and even throw down some progressive park.

since yur skiing 70% park, get walls. you'll benefit from the symmetry. i dont think it will make that big of a difference out of the park.
