I've neva heard that be4 but i guess old people figure if it's on snow it must be called skiing yet they hear people talking about snowboarding and get the words mixed up

the go with the 'boards' part of it... and the 's' at the beginning, and assume snowboards are skiboards, because they just do. Older people forget things/
