Replying to Faith

being a young christian today is hard, everywhere you look you are bombarded with sin, and false idols and chances to hurt you relationship with god, the area where i live is a massive tourist and backpacker hub in sydney, lots of late night bars and clubs and stuff like that,
i have nothing wrong with drinking and partying but everywhere i look it is full of people looking for something to distract them from their life, people getting fucked up and passing out so they can forget about their life if only for a night, people having one-night stands so they can feel comfort in someone trying to cover up their loneliness, i realize that not everyone that does not have faith are like this but it seems to be all i see. my church is pretty central in the town and our doors are always open pumping out music and having bbq's and parties and such so we do see alot of the traffic,and from what i see it seems to be so much eaiser to be with out faith, to embrace the culture of parying all the time and forgeting whats really important and im sure those who have partyied in ski resorts have seen the same sort of attitude, even in the thread inviting people to check this cult out many people were ripping religion.
not that they are wrong, religion has done some fucked up things in this world but it just seems to be harder then the alternative of forgetting about it all.

i guess what im saying is that no matter how hard it can be sometimes remember what jesus did for us and how much harder it was for him to die for mans sin. its hard for sure but its the best thing in the world.
