on a box 270 on is easier. It also depends on the height. 270 on to a 2 inch high box isn't as intimidating as  learning it on an 8 foot high box.

270 on a box is what i learned first.  super simple once you nut up.  i would def learn 270 off a rail and not a box... much easier

270= easier on rails

but id suggest learnign 270 out first

2sevs on are like death when your first learning them....ask jizzguzzler about falling on 2sevs on
you could also ask jizzguzzler about 2sevs off and he will still tell you how bad it hurts when you fall

On a box you can start by just trying to 180 on and then finish the spin. I thought they were scary but one weekend a kid convinced me to do them and they are really easy. I think after you learn it they can be easier on rails. I guess it depends on the rail but down rails that are just a foot or 2 off the ground are easy to 2 on to but hard to 2 off of. Maybe its just because of where I ski because the landing of everything is flat.

im pretty sure a 270 onto a foot wide box 15 feet above a shallow pit of alligators and spikes would be harder than a 270 out of a 6 in high rail with a large drop off

yeah 270's on are way easy if your doing it on a low box, i just learned them tonight. It was like a big build up, but then i simply tried it and slayed

try onto a low box and no matter how much or lil u spin when u land on the box try to finnish ur rotation to a 270 so u kinda have  a fealing of what its like .. that what i did

honestly its not about the 270 on its about what way you spin it. I like to spin natural to land unatural and then my 270 outs become like 1000 times easier becuase its to my unatural backside wich is cake

all it really takes for a 270 on is trying them
not to claim, but i learned them in 3 tries onto a flat box. the worst that happens is you do a 180 and end up on the box switch

see ive been doing that but keep eating shit and slipping out and hitting my hip on my 270s on..since im not going my usual way

any tips?? for not falling over when going the other way? i was thinking on just going on straight on the other way would that help?

learn front 270 off first = easiest

learn backside 270 off second = easier

learn 270 on after that = easy

do whichever feels most natural to you, because that is going to be what seems less intimidating, probably making it a little easier. I tend to be pretty nervous about trying new things on rails, because I get scared of falling onto metal, and i do all types of things to try to make it easier. I probably spend about 5 hours thinking about how to do something on a rail before I even try it, which tends to make it a little easier because then it already feels like I can do it. It doesn't really matter which one is easier in general, because which ever one you feel more comfortable doing is ultimately going to be the easiest.

i got confused because when i spun to my natural side i didnt want to land natural and forgot that i had to so i kept trying to do 450s thinking they were 270s wich helped me a shit load in th elong run. you sir are right

i got 2sev onto a box...and sometimes can 2sev off a flat rail, inward and out

but not consistantly for the off

That's pretty standard, I honestly hate boxes. Rails are so much more fun. The only thing I like for boxes is the ease of 270 on, but I'd rather just get that on a rail anyways.

I've kinda only started doing some real stuff in the air this year. I can do 3's, 5's, switch 1's to deck, i'm very good at. 0's, backflips...i really really really want to go cork on a backcountry jump.

Shit haha, yeah you're much better in the air. I've never had any air sense, my friends have tried so hard to get me to progress on trampolines and shit and I can barely do shitty 7s on them. I guess it'll come eventually. I like rails better right now, but I've been told that's just because I still suck at jumps. It will come eventually I guess.
