Where to mount chronics...i think tht they are to big

just got my chronics from serria skis like 15 min ago and i realized tht i should of gone with the 171 but i got the 176.  im about 5 10 and weigh around 150.  im thinking about mounting them center so tht they will ski shorter even though i ski like 50% park and 50% all mnt.  +kkkkk for useful responses.

They aren't too big for your size.  You probably should have gone 181, especially because you are 50% all mtn.  I know the 181's measure 178, so if you measure your 176's they should measure 173.  It's in your head that they are too long, but when you get on them you would really regret going with the 171.

you got the perfect size
i would suggest mounting them -2 from true center. it will give you a good feeling for park by setting you pretty close to center but the ski will still ride well because it's not in the dead center of the ski, that is the perfect compromise between park and all mtn, the ski will carve fine and ride well on groomers and in crud and stuff but you'll get the performance you need in the park

ok i think im leaning twords -2 from center but i have a while to think about it bc ski season is over for me this year bc of lacrosse

yes -2cm from center is perfect mounting point on chronics. you will be very happy with them mounted -2cm.

If you won't be skiing anymore this season, then wait until next to see how much you grow.  -2 sounds right to me.  I just got the octolands at 171 and think I could've gone for 178 and I'm your size.  Its just preferance though.
