Blunt?

So I always thought a blunt was a grab but now I guess I really don't understand what it is. Can anyone help me out?

it is a grab. im pretty sure that its when you grab on the inside of tail and cross it up.

thats what ive always thought it was, but correct me if im wrong.

blunt = true tail, grab very end of ski between thumb and fingers like passing a blunt. i can be crossed or uncrossed doesnt matter.

Oh I always thought it was a grab with one hand on one ski and the other on the other ski. Is there any other grab besides octo that has two hands?

youre all wrong, a blunt is a high crossed safety. i think. like i grab the outside edge of my right ski at the front with my right hand, then cross my skis

it also means not sharp

and also a nice way of getting high

WOW. A blunt is a grab in which the skier grabs the very end of his tail with the matching hand. No cross needs to be involved and in my opinion a blunt is much cooler without it.

has anyone ever heard of a blunt being when you stall way on your tips or tails? i was doing it on a tire and some kid said it was a blunt but i just thought it was a stall that didnt really have a name

yea I did that but for some reason I thought a blunt grab was the octograb but I was wrong. thanks to everyone who helped. Btw whats the grab in your icon?

Well, kind of. Skiing tricks get named from all other sports, so if you use skateboard tricks to name your skiing tricks you could call it a blunt. like so...

a blunt is definitely a jib term also.

 snowboarders started doing them and used the skateboard term which skiers use also. a blunt is a nose OR tail stall/slide in which your body crosses over the rail or obstacle. if you approached an urban rail, ollied over it to your tails, it would be a tail blunt.
