next year when i buy hellbents
when i did a cork 7 to my head it made me question whether or not i want to keep skiing because it could have been really bad but it just made me more focused and made me realize how much i love the sport
I remember my first 360 like it was yesterday, I was the first out of my crew to do the newschool thing, so I was super stoked.
The biggest one for me though, was definitely at whistler last year. I was pretty much clinically depressed befoer the trip, ahving lost 19 pounds from mono, first semester at college in the midwest (I'm from denver), and losing what i would say was my first love just because of distance.
I ahd already dropped the waterfall at its highest point, and skied pow all week. it was the second to last day of the trip. We hiked up spanky's ladder made a right, and did a sketchy ass traverse into the glacier that was high consequence on both sides. It was late in the day, and we still got tits deep first tracks on this chute that was tits deep. It was really steep, and I just felt weightless. In-between face shots, I got to see that wonderful whistler sky open up to bluebird as I'm going down this run. I let loose this howl as I point it down this chute, this feeling of absolute elation leaving my body. I got to the bottom of the run, and realized that not only was I physically exhausted, I was mentally too. I literally FELT the weight come off my soul. It was the best feeling I have ever experienced. I can't wait to go back to whistler, I swear a piece of me is back there.
I swear, if that paragraph above you doesn't make you believe in God, I don't know what else does.
well put. that sent chills all over my body.
