What is the brand and what not that you can buy to just put in your bindings so you can tour around without touring bindings? like it goes into your binding like a boot and then you snap into it with your boots so you can free heel.

they are made by BCA (back country access) and they are called alpine trekkers. they are super legit and slide into your pack nice. at first i doubted thier durability but now i have had them for a year of heavy use and they hold up great. dukes are overrated.

1. They dont work well with Look bindings because the heel piece gets in the way you can never step all the way flat. I just left the small riser up to deal with the problem. Flat ground will suck because you're angled forward and not flat.
2. Check EVERY screw on them before you go out for the day, they get loose and fall out ruining your trip!
3. I've used them many times on long tours over all types of terrain and conditions they honestly work great, or deliver what they promise anyway. Make them as big as possible for your binding so you don't twist out of them. and then clamp them to your boot as tight as possible as well. If you don't get this stuff dialed in your treck will be a nightmare.
