Bent pole....

alright so yesterday i was skiing some groomers and some snowboarder was going across the slope with his back facing the top, i was comming around the bend and looked back at my friend and looked foreward again and was like "O SHIT!!!!" and hit this boarder soooo hard, its what i imagine getting hit by an NFL player would feel like but anyways we flew through the air and landed 10yards down the slope....

he was alright and i was fine though my shoulder is kinda messed up now, but anyways my pole is now bent in a L on the lower third, im buying a new pair but is their anyway to bend it back?

From my experience with L bent poles is that the moment you try to bend them back they just snap.

haha true,

it will break if the pole is not made of Aircraft Grade Aluminum like that in select Scott Poles

if it has a kink in it its done. if its a gradual bend just bend it back over your knee.

exactly, i dont want to snap it, i mean if i wasnt as strong as i am but you know what i mean i just got these huge bamf arms and i dont want to completely destroy this pole......lol

but seriously my uncle owns a welding shop so i just might go mess around with the bending machines.... but whatever

If you really want to bend it back heat it up, either a heat gun or throw it in a hot tub for a bit, put on end in a vice and pull, slowly.

using a tube bender is going to do the same thing as just using your knee.

buying new poles arnt a problem like ive already ordered em but some of my friends that go skiing, but dont own there own stuff use my old stuff, so im just going to try bending it back for future use by my non hardcore friends....
