tons. theres a sick piece by my apartment and there was some cool shit in the brooklyn bridge park next to my job last summer, i THINK was him, good artist but yea people hate on him alot
I love Banksy's stuff. His shit is sicker than other huge name tags(which are still dopee) cuz it actually means something rather than just a name. All his work is his rebellion against government and whatever he doenst agree with. Thats why he's sick.
Banksy does some shit sometimes that you just look at and wonder how it was even possible. He's sick. He also had an illegal gallery exhibit that he couldn't go to because there were police everywhere.
since this is a thread about street artists, i'm gonna drop a claim here, totally tagged over shepard farry's obama poster at the DNC and he walked past and complimented my work.
fuckin guy is in jail now haha. hes the man, great interview on the dailyshow too, [claim] he came by my office a few weeks ago since our client signed up on board to design a bottle [/claim] my client being proximo and i made the 1800tequila website and custom bottle contest
sorry for the double post, but I have to say there are soooo many more sick artists, with more skill who are always overshadowed by banksy. Hate me if you want, but the real painters in the world know this. He's still sick though, but with stencils it really is not that hard!
He lived in london and was highly influenced by him, but is somewhat prolific in his own work. He works out of the Melbourne area right now. Watch RASH if you ever have the chance.
Hes got some epic stuff and stencils are the only way to get some of that done in such crazy places where you gotta get in and out in like half a second but i gotta say i like the huge hand painted pieces better... massive wildstyle pieces take a lot of time and effort and show how ridiculously talented the artists really are
