As good as all the other entries were, they were all so similar and it was really hard watching them all without getting bored. Martin's on the other hand was fresh and I think he would really bring something new to the table in terms of style and variety of tricks. fucking weird i was thinking the same thing while watching him and was about to post something similar.  I think the whole gangster thing is getting too played out in these edits, i would too enjoy something fresh, and innovative.  We need a mini Andy parry not a mini Hinrek H (sorry if miss spelled names).

martin B for sure, he had the most tech rail tricks as well as steezy ones, his jumps were as good if not better than everyone else, he basically had no mediocre tricks in that video, every one was great. plus he would bring something fresh to level 1.
the only other superunknowns that were level 1 worthy was just another brogan/wallisch imitator. the whole thug thing is getting played as fuck, i swear ive seen half those superunknown video's a million times before, just with another person doing the same exact generic gangster style to basically the same song. go with something fresh!

Freshness doesn't speak to skill. They are going to a legit park shoot, with big features, and Berman needs shots.

Neither Tim nor Holson had unnecessary tricks on small rails, and I feel like most of the other entries were full of them. Plus, urban tricks are leaps and bounds more impressive than park tricks.

all of these guys who entered this year i have heard of before and arn't too unknown to the newschool community besides the kid from europe and chris laker....i definately think laker deserves it...kid grew up skiing in indiana and is only 15 so much room for progression

tim would be my second choice, he definatly has the skill, but seriously, you can get the same shots with half the other riders in level 1's park shoots. plus martin also definatly had the jumps and urban skills, just as good as any of the other top choices.
with filming its not just about skill, creativity, style, and originality are all just as important, id put some of those before skill anyway. thats why brogan won last year instead of martini.
with martin he's got just as much skill as tim or any of the other top choices, but he beats them all with originality and style. not that tim didnt have good style, its just that you could watch any of the other level 1 guys do the same trick and it would be the same thing.

yo not to dis, but I and i'm sure most others have def have heard of laker, I think I even saw him on cartoon network one time or something. so i wouldn't say he is unknown like you are.  but I would agree about the european kid, never heard of him.

i got no problem with them riding like that, i still think they got good style, its just you see it in every other edit and every movie now, it gets old. level 1 needs someone completely new, not just another guy with the same old style.

Thank God that Berman is making the decision and that it's not going to be some stupid ass NS popularity contest. That's a really good point, and I agree that i would rather have someone individual than just really good, if I was to make a movie. i don't see enough difference between any of them to choose one over the other, I think the main reason Bullet looks different is his clothing, not so much riding. Because I don't think anyone really stands out above the others for style, that's why I would say holson or tim, but I think it's a pretty even field right now.

true, his clothing does change his style a bit, but even without the clothing, he's got a pretty individual style, its just his clothing that makes it stand out i guess.
i wouldnt be mad if tim won, its just i think martin deserves it the most, in terms of pure skill he's just as good as tim, if not better in some areas. but he has the originality on everyone else, and i think martin would do the most for level 1.
tims got great style, but they could have any other level 1 rider do the same trick and it would be basically the same thing.
