Very quick final cut question ++k

ive made a few edits on final cut, and everytime i've used a song that i got off limewire, im making an edit and i want to use a song from a cd in itunes and it WONT LET ME IMPORT IT!!!

so how come i can import downloaded songs (which are in itunes) but not songs off a CD (which are also in itunes)????

how do i import those songs???!

im gettting so frustrated!! AHHHH

Ok so this happens just cause of the licensing from the CD

But to avoid it is easy.

If you have garage band, open it and open a new song doesn't matter what the settings are.
drag the song you want into the timeline in garageband from Itunes.

It will import and a loop marker will be set. Now just go to the menu and export song too Itunes. name it whatever you want that will make you remember.

after it is saved into itunes just import that version. should take care of your problem.

yeah i tried doing that and it didnt work

i remember doing that at school last year and it worked but maybe i just did it wrong.

but i found the song on limewire so it's all good

try changing it to an .aiff version of the song?

Maybe try to drag the song to a different folder, change the name and then try to import it to whatever program you are using. Should work but not promising anything

I always have to burn an itunes song onto a disc then re-import it. Shit sucks but its worth it.
