Downtown Showdown Portland, Maine

I was just wondering if anyone is going to the Downtown Showdown tonight in Portland. They've got a 30 ft rail, for skiers and snowboards to compete on. It's gonna be sick. Anyone going?

i was there it was sick. three different features a single barrel hand rail, a down flat flat bar with a 7 foot drop at the end and a down flat down double barrel. there was 16 skiiers and 16 boarders and tehy just went at it. everyone had a good attitude the crowd was pumped and some sick stuff went down. this boarder did a front lip onto the flatbar and frontflipped out..but he didnt win surprisingly. all the skiiers threw down and it was awesome.  only unsportsmanship was from a snowboarder when a skiier accidently cut him off he gave him the finger when he wasnt lookin but nothing big. all in all a great show

Yeah I was there too. Shaun Murphy (snowboard) absolutely killed it, I don't know why he didn't win.

Also that kid with the Tall Tee on Skis he had Rossy Scratches slayed, I don't know why he didn't win either.

The frontflip on and out was soo dope, but that was the only good thing he did because he couldn't even stay on the rails.

Also did you see that girl skiing, sure she wasn't switching up, or 270ing on but she was cleanest by far.

One more thing, which person flippped off the skier, when was it and who was it. Just tell me what they were wearing because I can probably remember.

He made the finals and he had some steezy switch ups but I don't even think he placed. He may have gotten third I don't believe so those. But I didn't think anyone in the comp was from Newschoolers whats his username?

Yeah that was me! I had a white technine hoodie on.. but then I took it off and had a black and silver hoodie on. Sick comp! Everyone slayed, especially richie and clayton (rossis and tall tee, pretzel 450'd the down flat). I ended up with a concussion and fucked lip after trying to 270 that dfd. There was zero speed to be had.

I think i saw you get the shot though! props for trying to 270 onto that downflatdown, give some credit to shea as well. He got a slow start but banged it out at the end. Richie fell alot but had some real banger's.

even on mute it's still an epically shitty edit.  The shots are terrible and you can only make out a few of the tricks.  There are more shots of people standing around in the crowd than people actually hitting the features.  WEAK. 

There's even a shot of two dogs fighting?  WTF?  Seriuosly.  Does anyone have any decent shots from the event?   Please post anything.  It looks really legit.
