Japan for a month

I'm thinking about going to Japan next winter ... probably in Niseko or some place on the northern island ... I heard the skiing's better there.

Anything I should know? Accomodations, way to get cheap tickets, the cost of living, etc.

Niseko`s prob the biggest and best mt. in Hokkaido.  Some other good ones are Tomamu and Kirroro.

Nothing is cheap in Japan so be prepared for that.
