Alright, so I spent some time this evening checking out the newest version of Google Earth, and I gotta say - it's straight up pimp. You've got the ability to go under the ocean and look at the ocean floor (not crazy detailed, but still cool - like Hawaii and shit), you can reverse the camera and look at the stars and shit, you can switch to Mars mode and look around Mars.
AND you can have a sun option where you pick the time of day (or have it running on a loop) and see where the sun hits when... I think this could be a really neat tool for skiing. wanna know if that slope you wanna ski ever gets hit by the sun, and if so, when? think about it.
another cool feature is the ability to go back in time (enter creepy ghost sounds here).
