And if they dont what can you do???

No seriously, you just have to hope that the person is not going to rip you off. It happens a few times here and there but a good thing you can always rely on is if someone is an asshole and screws you many of us can happen to live near him and take care of it for you in the good ole' Call Out! But most people are genuine on this site and you should not have to worry too much.

check their feedback and the B/S/T good seller list... If they have made good deals before they probably wont fuck you over... Also if they are making transactions on here, they wont want to mess up their rep for that name. Most people are legit and people will back them.

if they're new (low post count, low karma, no feedback) ask them if they will ship first (thats what I had to do my first few times)

also get their number

Good call, only would work if you were deaing with a respected seller though I personally wouldnt trust anyone that no one backs them up if they asked me to ship first.

trade phone numbers and just call, most scammers wont go through this hassle and wont want you to have their phone number if they scam you.

i traded with a guy with 1 post and it was in my thread, seem sketch but i had him ship first and when i got it i shipped, turns out he was very legit and super easy to deal with

make sure their feedback is good and if they're a total noob then make them ship first and give you a tracking number
always get tracking numbers and insurance for everything and make sure the person sends you a tracking number if you're shipping on the same day. that avoids them saying "i never got it" or "i shipped it like a month ago" when they haven't actually shipped it
just be smart, talk to the person a bit, make sure they're legit, and get on with it
i've traded A LOT of stuff on here and never dealt with a scammer or anything, most of this site is legit
