Edges For Park?

Ok, so I never really fucked with my edges yet, but I was wondering, should i just use the edge sharpener and leave it at that? or will I catch on rails and eat shit if I don't detune a lil... If so, how should i make them better for rails

i sharpen my skis and never really have a problem sometimes ill catch a little nothing serious tho plus i enjoy actually skiing too so it helps greatly in that plus when u rep the ice coast u need edges

Tune the skis up, its better for the ski's longevity. When you sharpen/tune an edge it takes out (a majority) of the burrs/nicks in the metal. Factory tunes are on the same level as a basic ski tune. Once your skis are fresh, take a gummi stone to the edge underfoot. It won't exactly dull them, but it will detune them a bit, enough to get you started. After that just get a good day of shredding in, then you wont even notice the edge on rails.

1.5 degree base bevel, run a gummy stone over it once or twice and you're set. Sharp enough to grab, dull enough to slide.
