If youve been up in the past week they put a massive jump for the big air contest. I think its awesome . just wonderin what you guys think of it and what are the best tricks youve thrown off of it
I saw it up there last Fri, looks sick. I've never hit a jump that big, but I'd love to if I knew how to gauge speed better. Wanted to go up tomorrow, but the weather doesn't look very promising.
Season passes go on sale Friday, so I'll be all over that. Then we should post on this board when we'll be up there to we can look out for each other.
ive hit it 32 times crashed only once ill prolly be up saturday round 1. iv got a really good feel for the speed its definately worth getting the courage up to do it. it gives you a lot more air time to work on your grabs
I'd love to hit it if I could get the speed so I don't case or overshoot. I'm hopin to get up there sat, so if I do, maybe I can give it a shot. Love to work on my 3's and rails to.
I have hit it like 8 or so times. Really if you just start at the top and strait line it as best you can you will have enough speed. I was sitting down after the park to park jumps and landing like halfway down the landing. It is so fun just being in the air that long. Im scared shitless about spinning on that thing so I have just been doing strait airs. Maybe I will do a 3 the next time Im there.
Yeah I am half and half on that. Like I would love to learn to spin on that size of jump but I would almost rather get some good spins on something a bit smaller, like a little bigger on what they had before there. I did some 3s over it but would love to try some 5s and maybe some 7s. The second jump in that line is tits tho. I have been trying 7s over it but cant get them. I think I am getting a little off axis or backseat because I always seem to land on my left ski and wash out. It is pissing me off, I want to get 7s by the end of this season so bad.
How is the rest of that line? I've only hit the 'smaller' jumps. Not the stiff all the way to the right. Seems like the landings are a little bigger so you can get a little more air
If the jumps are still the same at the bottom hit those. There is no reason not to hit them. They are small enough you dont really have to worry about shorting them and if you do casing doesnt hurt at all. And, the landings are big enough they are really to over shoot if you start from the top of the zero g lift. They are much better jumps than the top ones imo but the nice thing is you can hit the first two at the top, skip the park to park and go to the top of the bottom jumps. You dont have to decide one or the other. Hit both sets! And you are the dude trying to learn 3s right? Fisrt jump in that bottom line is perfect for that.
I am indeed. I'm a little confiused about which jump you're taking about though. I've hit the series of 3 jumps in the upper park. I'll check out the main line next time I'm up. From teh looks they had two jumps and then the huge 55' booter. Are the more jumps at the bottom? Appreciate all the help
