OH NO A BOOT QUESTION!!!

just try them on. i know nothing about lange boots but im assuming they're meant for feet with high arches.

i love my spk's best boot ive had but...

lange=skinny
salomon=wider

chances are spk's wont fit your foot very well.

Salomon make wide and narrow boots
Nordica make wide and narrow boots
Rossignol make wide and narrow boots
Dalbello make wide and narrow boots
Tecnica make wide and narrow boots

obviously the above posts don't know what they're talking about.  obviously they don't work in a shop or know anything about "extreme skiing".  the only singular boot that will fit you, cure shinbang, and cure cancer is

god thats fucking annoying.. i was just about to post saying how no one has mentioned the so called special boot
but u messed that up..

rule number 1 of boots.... buy a pair because they fit, not because they look cool. go to a shop and try them on

not necessarily. the lange freestyle boot (unless i am completely wrong) is based off of the fluid boot line meaning it is fairly wide all over. the only real difference in the fit will be the spk being a little wider in the toe box and slightly narrower in the heel.

plus he never gave any indication as to how much work has been done to the freestyles. i know for myself i ride in the year's lange comp pro boot. most people will think i have a narrow foot but i in fact made the boot much wider simply because i love the heel hold in lange boots.

try the boots on and see what you think. the whole concept of the spk is to veer away from a tradtional fitting boot in the it was made to fit like a skate shoe so you really shouldn't be comparing the fit of the two.

before i looked at any other boots i really wanted the 2008 spk pros so i looked high n low and couldnt find them in my size. then i found the 2009 spk pros and wouldnt you know it, they fit like a charm.

i love my spk pros. i have some goofy ass shaped feet and they fit just about perfectly.

id say if they fit, deff get them. just watch out for somebody asking why you have snowboard boots on skis

im wearing the langes straight out of the box no mods. And ive had them for 3 years so theyre pretty broken down

just make sure you order a foam liner kit only way those will fit your foot

The lange Freeride series of boots are based off the same shell as the world cup boot it is 98mm wide which is considered a pretty narrow boot.

I dont personally like spks because I have a high arch, there isnt a whole lot of room there, also with the lace-up you cant pull the tongue as wide making it more difficult to put on.

The spk is based off a salomon performa I think on the bottom which is around 103mm wide.

Basically 98mm boots are narrow, the following are around 98mm boots but instep height, cuff height, anke room etc will be different for each of them.

Full Tilt, any boot, all 98mm last.
Nordica Doberman Aggressor boots, apart from the 150 flex which i think is narrower.
Nordica Supercharger series (based off their race boot above)
All dalbello Krypton series (including rampage, pro, il morro, cross etc..)
Salomon Falcon, Shogun, Ghost
Atomic CS race boot and Nuke series and high rolla.
Head raptor and Mojo boots.



A foam injection liner is expensive $400+ and doesnt hold the warmth as well and will stiffen the flex up a bit plus its a bitch to take the liners out. 

You really need to go see a reputable bootfitter as width is a very small part of boot selection.

It sucks when you get instep pressure as it can cut off your circulation and you can get another bone growing as the result of the rubbing. Some people cut holes in the liner, but it will start to come apart pretty quick. You can grind down the bootboard usually to drop your foot slighlty which helps, but it reallly depends on the boot. A bit of food for thought...

Only the Blower and Enforcer are based off the 98 race boot

The Flash, Spark, and Ignition are based of the Beast which is a 101 last

As stated there is no substitute for going to a good fitter and trying them on.
