For my world studies class we have to do an interview with someone who has migrated from one country to another. 
I then thought of ns and thought who better to ask?
So the questions are:
Why did you move and what or who did you leave behind?
How did you travel?
And any good storeis that go along with your migration.
Please share any migration stories you have or know of.

Why did you move and what or who did you leave behind?
i moved because an asian moved in next door. i left everything behind, my house, my family, my job, and even my fiance.
How did you travel?
i traveled by foot.
And any good storeis that go along with your migration.
i was migrating from the from the great state of mass to toronto. on the way, i met this kid in ny state, probably about 14 years old. he had only one eye, but still managed to play pin the tail on the donkey. and boy, was he good at it.

I left because the shitter was full.  I left behind my big screen tv, my xbox, and also my wife.

How did you travel?

I had to travel by horse.

While making my trek through Austria, i came across a traveling circus, being low on cash, I joined it for a couple weeks, cleaning up monkey shit and getting shot out of a cannon. I even met a bearded lady, but she was a bitch.

My dad along with his sister and parents immigrated from Germany in the late 40's. It was right after WW2 and things were awful over there.

my dads side of my family grew up in spain then moved to cuba where my dad was born
my g-ma used to be this supper attractive super model i guess but when castro started fucking everything up they decided to dipset and lost all of their money, cars, houses, moved to San francisco and started from scratch again. Kinda screwed up

I'll do my best yo help out...

Why did you move and what or who did you leave behind?
- left because of the violence and political unrest, parents wanted a better education for us (their children)
- left behind family, friends, jobs (parents)

How did you travel?
- by plane (furniture through containers)

And any good storeis that go along with your migration.
- my family immigrated thrice; from South Africa to Canada, back to South Africa and then back to Canada
- reason being didnt have any money when we came to Canada, couldn't find jobs (parents)

Canada because the rents had been here before and really loved it.
schooling and lack of violence mostly.

and for moving back to SA, dad had a gauranteed good job there where as not in Can

My boyfriend's parents came from Laos in the '70s.  They went to a refugee camp in Thailand for a few years, then they went to seattle on a boat.  Then they went to arkansas and then eventually to wisconsin.  They left because of the vietnam war since the hmongs helped the americans, so they were chased into hiding in the mountains. weird.

i moved from poland to the us when i was three.lol. we left behind our entire family and mainly everything that we owned besides some clothes and stuff. moved to connecticut. lived here ever since. and yea...we moved bcuz there were tough times there. hard to get money and jobs...and like everyone said, america is where dreams are made but i personally hate america. i would really like to move back to poland.
