Where's sundin?

That's retarted that they suspended him, they should have just given him a fine. It's not like he meant to put it over the glass. Plus it sucks even more because their next game is against Ottawa, and he always shows up when they play them.. otherwise it should still be a great game!

Turco doesn't have the wins to be in the all-star game. He's got decent stats, but his team is underacheiving. How about Vokun from Nashville. Doesn't have the stats but he has a mediocre nashville team above .500. Also as much talent as Jagr has, he's more of a liabability than he is an asset. He should not be allowed to play in the all-star game. And Madden is damn fuckin' quick for a defenceman. He'd probably make a better forward :)

Madden IS a forward. He won the selke for best defensive forward in '02, remember? Also, Jagr has 37 pts, as many as bertuzzi, and he's been on a roll. Plus, Both Jagr and bertuzzi are pretty much guaranteed to get spots on the teams just from being big names.

yeah, sry about madden, just whenever i watch a devils game, he seems to be in the defensive zone a lot, maybe too much to be a forward.

Bertuzzi is also good for more than just points. He's a bruiser and a good power-forward. Bad comparison. Either way, I did admit that Jagr has talent, but he's a baby and I hate him. He's a -6 and he whines more than my 6 year old sister. 'I don't want to play defence,' 'I don't feel like putting in an effort today,' 'I don't like this coach, fire him,' 'I'm overpaid and no team in the NHL will trade for me.' He's selfish and is everything that's wrong with pro athletes and therefore should not be allowed to be in the all-star game. And yes, I thought the smiley would display my sarcasm. I guess not.

i agree with the other guys stats with one exception. Morrison, Naslund, and Bertuzzi are possibly one of the best lines in the NHL. need proof? For about 6 weeks of the season, all three were the top 3 players on the budlight +/-

east- chris neil of ottawa (yeah there is a bias involved here, so what). i havent seen him lose a fight yet, and he's also disciplined when he needs to be.

west- krzysztof oliwa of calgary...he's so huge, and has no reason to play hockey other than to fight.

I agree with Oliwa, he's the man (go Flames), but if everyone wasn't so afraid of Chara (6'9 without skates) he'd get in more fights and be at the top. I saw one guy try to pick a fight with him and Chara just grabbed the guy by the front of the jersey and whipped him out like a towel and threw him to the ice.

Chara fucked up mcgillis in boston, neil is just awesome, he is such a great guy on home ice because the fight with tampa bay was purely to get the crowd arroused.

On West Defense you're all missing Rob Blake, undeniably all-star caliber, he's second in defenseman scoring and he anchors the Avs defense. Also, even though Peter Forsberg has been hurt, how can you not have the single best offensive player in the game, and the most talented player in the NHL not play?

I think Patrice Beregeron from the Bruins rw/lw/c)should be on there since he's te youngest player in the nhl and he's got 11 goals. Thortons the man. He's gotta be one of the best all round players in the game.

Yeah, and the leafs are losing 4-0 only 7 minutes in : (

Though it really isn't a fair comparison as it is more like the Ottawa Senators playing the St.Johns Maple Leafs.

Toronto's loss just shows that they lack depth.

Fine, I will. The all-star game is all about entertainment, it sure as fuck isn't about heart. That's why I don't like it all that much. Jagr is the PERFECT player for it (Bure would be if he had knees and didn't leave halfway through). Bertuzzi doesn't have other facets to him than scoring. He's not a toughness player, he just uses his size to score. I've watched every televised nucks game this season and I live in vancouver, this is what I see. Occaisionally he'll throw a big hit, but it's not really what his game is about. He doesn't play defense, he doesn't look for hard checks in the neutral zone, his play away from the puck isn't the same kind of stuff as Nolan or Primeau. But anyways, he's entertaining too, so he belongs in there too.

Really, what you should've said is, what the all star game is about is what's wrong with pro sports. There's no heart at all, it's all a big show for the benefit of the sponsors.

Jay - Take away the core from any team in the NHL and they will get there asses trampled.

Here's a list for you, and don't tell me this isn't the heart of the team:

Ed Belfour
Tomas Kaberle
Owen Nolan
Mats Sundin
Alexander Mogilny

Robert Reichel
Wade Belak.

I won't back Kidd up much because he doesn't back up Eddie much, but that was Trevor Kidd's 3rd start in a row. Mikael could be the future of (at least back-up) goaltending in Toronto.


On an extra note, Alfredsson is a jackass, even if Sundin and him were married it wouldn't have been funny.
