Line burnt to screen

my imac g4 just got a line burnt into the screen. should i try to get them to replace the screen?

What happened to burn it in? if it just randomly happened, you could try, but I wouldn't bank on it.

something could just be pressed to the back of the screen. it used to happen with my macbook if i squeezed the back a little hard.
