Ski boots with no shin bang

so recently i have had the worst shin bang ever and i think its cause my boots are too big. what boots would be good to eliminate my shin bang problem?

most people ski in boots too big for a while before they realize it. try running your powsterstrap under the tongue, that helps. make sure the tongue is firmly against your entire shin

SPKs have done it for me for a few years now. I don't even remember what shin bang feels like. I just got a pair of the new Pros and they feel even better than the originals I had. Of course I have to say: "Your results may vary. They fit my feet good, but may not fit yours, but definitely give them a try."

to the op. you need to go to a bootfitter. have them find a boot that FITS YOUR FOOT. viola. shinbang gone.

I have Full Tilts. My boot bang has gone from the front of my shins to the back.

Boot bang is caused by so many different variables that its best to go to a fitter and see whats up. FT's do eliminate a lot of pressure points, but they arent like cocaine for your shins.

Ok, people freak about any thread related to boots to quickly without giving any help. Maybe the poster wants to know some good boots to go try on? You're single opinion of personal imput isn't going to make someone go buy those boots online. It will make them go to a ski store and try them on. Regardless of fit, there are still good quality boots, and shitty ass boots. If some shitty $89.99 boots at Sports Authority "fit", they will still suck ass for any real skiing or park riding. Then they will be right back where they started with shitty boots, because no one ever told them what are good quality boots for freeskiing.

So, my suggestion for boots that are great quality and performance are the SPKs or SPK Pros, from personal expierence. I didn't say go buy them right away. They can now go try them on, knowing that they are a good quality boot for the type of skiing they are going to do. People need to relax just a little when they see a thread with the word "boots" in it.

(kind of like the spk guy did)

but everyone was like ZOMGZ FULL TILTS WILL SAVE THE WORLD LIKE BARACK OBAMA.

honestly, just go to a bootfitter. they will look at your foot, and give you reccomendations based on that. and if you tell them youve had shinbang problems in _____ boots, they should be able to help with that too.

i got spks and i rarely get shinbang. well i do but that just because i land backseat a little too often

I'm the inventor of the Shintronic (www.shintronic.com). It is not only about preventing 'shin bang' (which they do almost 100%), but you will enjoy the power. grip and control effects as well. Not happy, just reply! We made some changes by leaving the outer padding away this season (better fit, less volume, less pressure) and we provide an optional elastric strap preventing sliding up. i have full tilts it depends on the day but i still get shin bang every once and awhile for some reason its not there all the time but it might just be my huge calfs but i love them so much even on shinbang days so light and warm and comfy the best boot i have ever had and i have a wwide foot i got them heat molded and after a few runs they felt like there was nothing there so light

If you want a quick, cheap solution, try booster straps.

If you really want new boots just go to a fitter and buy the boots that fit the best, regardless of brand. Full tilts and spk's aren't the best for everybody.
