Feeler: Canon 40D body

just wondering if anyone would be interested in a 40D body in great condition, and what they think a fair price would be. feel free to make a serious offer if you'd like. i'm looking to sell in approx. 1-2 weeks.

alright instead of asking for offers, i want to set the selling price at $675 plus shipping. i don't really care to go any lower than this price, since the body is $900 on B&H.

i actually don't really want to sell it cause it kind of has sentimental value, but i'd also like to step up to the new 5D mkII, so i guess it has to happen.

it's in great condition and i've had a clear film on the lcd practically since the day i bought it, so the lcd is in pristine perfect condition.

I've thought about what it would be like to switch to the 5dmkII, for me it would be stupid, since i don't need more than 10mps and don't need hd video, and 3.9fps is LAME. I'd almost tell you to keep your 40d body for shooting action and the 5d for other things.

yah, i've thought about the 3.9fps as well, but i've gotten a full page ad in transworld snowboarding with a camera that shot 3fps, so i think 3.9fps is tolerable. my biggest attraction to it is the full frame sensor, higher ISO, and of course the hd video capabilities.

I have to say, the video SUCKS. its way to hard to use really. i cant stand it. 4 fps is fine, but more importantly is the glass in front of that body. wether your shooting 6.5fps or 4, if your glass sucks, so do your pics. you might shoot at 6.5 fps but if your not using a fast lense like a 70-200 f2.8, no matter how fast you shoot, the lens will have a hard time focusing and your pics will be blured out more than likely..... anyways

sorry man i don't. the lenses i do have i'm keeping and am actually looking for one more for right now too. check craigslist, i see stuff on there all the time.

ive been checking craigslist, but i live in south east washington, and thats not exactly a photography hotspot.

and most people ive talked to outside of the area dont really want to ship, they just want cash and meet local.

their ratings are conservative from what i hear, so when they list something as good condition it's actually excellent condition, etc.
