Ski sizing for a girl

my girlfriend wants to get some twintips.  she is a strong all mountain skier who has just started hitting small jumps and flat boxes.  we have been looking at getting some older arws we are thinking either the 166 or 171.  she is 5'8" about 135lbs and currently skis a 176 bandit w.  which size do you guys think

I am 5'10" and I ski 169 and 178. I would go shorter.

id say 171 i ride both 161 and 172 and im 5'5 and the 172 are a good height

if she's a strong skier go for the 171cm and center mount them. remember, most twin tips are 10-15cm shorter than a traditional ski because of the turned up tail.

if get her some skis that will go about 2 feet over her head get some 224's lol

yep what he said. although a 166 ski wouldn't be extremely short either... just tell her to get what will make her feel more confident. she can always go taller on her next pair of twins.

Have u found last years 171cm?  for 2009 they only make 161 and 166 cm...  the older ones a bit heavier and perhaps stiffer...... 166 should be OK.  unless she is really aggressive then go to AR6.

the '09s are stiffer than the older arw's, i have the '08s and am pretty pissed at how soft they are. if you're gonna go with an '08 or earlier, definitely go on the longer side, kinda makes up for the noodley-ness. i'm 5'5" and ski on 171's, just right.
