Back Injury Advice

I know that this is not the right place to be posting and I know that most people will say go to the hospital but I am wondering if anybody has experienced anything similar because I would really like to avoid going to the hospital. Alright so around 1:00 today I fell on my back pretty hard on ice, got the wind knocked out me and then started coughing up some blood. Didn't think that much of it rode for another hour or so and every now and then coughed up a little bit of blood (Im talking specks of blood in my spit). About three or so hours ago my chest started hurting and I am having a little shortness of breath to the point that I can't take a extremely deep breath but breathing is more or less fine. Another thing is my chess feels heavy, I know that is not a good explanation but its really how it feels and when I do attempt to take a deep breath there is a sharp pain under my sternum. So anyone ever fall on their back and get these symptoms?

blood coming out of the mouth is not good(unless bloody nose, cut in mouth etc.) get it checked out!

Thats extremely serious, please go to the doctor.

You could of ruptured something, fractured a rib, collapsed a lung.

That's nothing to play around with, just go to the ER. You don't want to play around with those types of injuries, there's a lot of vital organs around there.

first thing is you ABSOLUTELY HAVE TO GO TO THE HOSPITAL!!!!!

but

if you cough alot until your throught (I just realized I cant spell throught and possibly realized but whatever) starts to hurt, the blood might come from your throught (god that bothering me)  but it really sounds like you have internal bleeding in your lungs, heavyness and shortness of breath really give it away.  Broken rip poking your lung maybe.  but

PLEASE GO TO THE FUCKNIG HOSPITAL BEFORE YOUR DROWN IN YOUR OWN BLOOD

yeah it sounds like a broken rib but with the blood you should probably GO TO THE HOSPITAL

going to the hospital is a really good idea. especially since you could be bleeding internally and waiting longer could lead to some real bad things

Dude, go to the emergency room. I got whacked in football, didn't feel too bad, thenstarted getting nauseous (sp?) and dizzy so I went into the trainer. My stomach started hurting like hell so I went to the hospital, nobody had a clue what was going on until they xrayed my belly. Turns out I had a grade 4 spleen laceration, I lost 3 pints of blood due to internal bleeding, and I could have died if the bleeding didn't stop.

Moral: don't fuck around with abdomen injuries

thats what it looked like, but they didn't remove it because I'm a teenager, a little young to be missing an organ

grade 5 is fatal though

oh and in case you haven't learned by now

GO TO THE EMERGENCY ROOM
and post here when you're done, I wana know what happens

there are these big places that help people if they are hurt.  they are called hospitals, you should look one up.  they should be in your local yellowpages

chest pains, shortness of breath, and coughing up blood are symptoms of pulmonary blood clots. i would fucking get that shit checked out IMMEDIATELY.

I am in the ICU right now. I work here.  GO TO THE HOSPITAL!  I doubt you're spitting up blood because of a scratch in your mouth or throat, unless you bit something when you fell.  Any bleeding at all (even a little) internally is a BAD thing.   That along with the shortness of breath is another bad indicator.

i stress fractured my back playing baseball 2 summers ago didnt go to the doctor for a while then it got to the point where i was almost unable to walk if something in your back is messed up go to the chiropractor i though it was bogus at first but after physical therapy not working and stuff i ending up going to the chiropracter and it did wonders good luck man
