I got some 178 Line Blends and ordered Marker Griffons from my local ski shop even though they were going to give me list price while i could get them considerably cheaper at other places off the internet, i figured it would be good to support a local business and they would mount them for free or for less money if i bought them there.
So today i go in, antsy to get my new skis mounted and so i could go up and ski them this weekend. They say it will be at very best friday before i get my binders and then they follow up with "we called marker and they didn't have the 110 mm brakes to go with your griffons so we ordered the 90mm brakes and we'll probably be able to bend them to fit." so i'm thinking "Oh great i'm not gonna get to use my new skis this weekend sweet" then they follow up with "Oh and the 110mm breaks won't be in until March sometime." so now they really pushed my buttons. Yeah bending breaks is pretty common but I would much rather have the right stuff on my skis. Then I thought about it somemore and the fact that they didn't call to tell me they couldn't get the right stuff really pissed me off cause I wanna use my new boards damnit ! If i had ordered them with my skis from evo i would have the right break, 40 more bucks in my pocket and they would have been here the next day.
So i wanted to know if you think i should tell them to cancel the order and buy the binders with the right break from another place and if it was out of line for them not to call me? and is bending breaks 5mils on each side too much to be considered proper and safe?
+++++K for good responses
