Let everyone know there is a slopestyle comp at paoli this saturday. There will be a boarder and skier division. Cash first place prize and awesome 2nd and 3rd place. It will consist of 1 rail run, 1 jump run, and the 3 run is the riders choice. Check back at paolipeaks.com for details of time. or ask on here and ill get back with you asap.
word. I know that steve-o is wanting to come to it, so you could probly get a ride with him. as far as i know right now. its saturday at 3pm. I would get there atleast an hour before to register.
yeah, our jump was 37, but the weather this weekend pretty much ruined it. we are rebuilding on thursday. the jump will be atleast 40, but hopefully bigger. we have 3 20ft identical rails that we are wanting to set up as down flat down...unfortunately i will not be in the park on thursday to rebuild due to school, but hopefully the other guys can get a grip and do it right for the comp. if its not a 60ft dfd it will be 40 foot flat down, but we also have a 35ft battleship that is so fun.
the 60ft DFD is a GO. we will have it up and along with some other fancy shit. ill post a complete update of what the park will have in it for the comp and all that crap friday morning. I hope everyone comes out for a good time and to throw down.
by the way..for all the skiers, there isnt any competition for you guys at paoli. so basically you will be competing against each other cause no one skis at paoli but me and 3 or so other dudes. and im sure your all scared i will beat you, but im not competing, so be happy.
what!? thats kinda really lame. no hate agaisnt paoli cause i've never been there and i know people from there are super chill, but don't they realize skiers have money, and i dont run the slopes or anything but i can't imagine them losing anything from having kids who ride on 2 sticks instead of 1 fill out a paper and spend 20 bucks to hit a jump a few times..... sure they'd have to give out some swag, which doesn't even have to be that good, most people just like the pressure and excite of a big air competition. sorry for the rant. and again, this was not directed to make anyone mad. just bummed that this means no road trip.
I think there is confusion...I did not mean no competition as in not going to happen this weekend...i was just saying that whoever comes from perfects will basically be competing against other people from perfects. I meant there is no competition cause any skier will kick our asses over here. Does that clear things up?
haha. i couldnt understand what you were talking about until i read it a few times. Although i completely agree with you on that. we are for sure having it.
alright sick. hahaha god i feel stupid. but im back to being pumped on road tripping again. hopefully this coming rain doesn't obliterate your guys's snow too badly
yeah, well hopefully the rain will be out of the area before thursday. we will for sure have enough snow, but its just timing one when we can rebuild. We plan on setting everything on thursday and it looks like good weather from then till the comp. I hope it turns out well too. Have u guys heard about us moving our park? We moved it to our two main trails...its ridiculous how much room we have now
60' Down flat down. 32ft battleship and many other new things...12ft tall 8ft wide wall ride...and 47ft jump...gnardog. sick dog, yeah dog. 10$ entry fee. 100+ cash first place...other prizes for 2nd and third. sign up at 12-3pm....yeah boys...come on over.
just wanted to say thanks to all the people over at paoli. you guys are awesome and way chill. prizes were pretty sick, and thanks again for the free pizza!
it was all worth the free pizza wasnt it? haha. hope you all had a good time, and i hope everyone comes back. I just wish the snow/conditions were a little bit more prime, but weather is part of skiing so i guess we will deal with it. peace out and thanks.
