I think it's legitimate to compare deaths by illegal drugs per year to deaths by legal drugs per year (excluding heroine level shit as illegal... im talking ecstasy, acid, weed, coke, etc).
How many people die a year from lung cancer caused by cigarettes?
How many people die a year from alcohol or over the counter drugs (I'm only 20 and 4 people 20 and under I know have).
100,00's of women die a year from tampons (TSS).
But... how many people die from weed? none.
How many people die a year from ecstasy? 30.
The only reason alcohol and cigarettes are legal is because they make the goverment tons of money. I think it's disgusting how our society and many others have put the idea in our minds that alcohol is safer than weed... or even ecstasy for that matter. It's not. Fuck that shit.
p.s. I take ecstasy (not regularly obviously).... and I get straight A's in the honors college at my university almost every semester. I know lots of kids who swear against the stuff and other drugs like acid, but go out drinking 5 nights a week and are on academic probation. Hmm...
