Fixing Crowbar Foam

So, I have a small problem, the foam on the top of crowbars is ripped a little.

What do you guys think is the best way to fix this? Have any of you ever done it?
Or should I just let it be?

thats what i was thinking, but i dont want it to eat through the foam.

i just tried it on some super old goggles and it seems to work fine
