HELP ME PLEASE

Hey everyone! I am looking for some serious advice! I am 21yrs old living in Boise Idaho and I want to move to Park City, UT. Here is my dilemma...I make about $14.50 an hour here in Boise and live in a 2B apartment for $675 a month. But I am also $ 30,000 in debt due to a bad ski accident a few years ago. IF I stay in Boise I could pay it off in about 2 years...but I hate it here and my job.

I could move to Park City but rent would be about $1,200 a month and I am sure I would make a lot less...I would work 2 jobs but I need my ski time ya know. And what about my debt?

I am so confused could I please get some advice :D

Check out Bozeman, Montana.  I think currently a bar called cats paw is looking for bartenders and from what I"ve heard they make bank on tips, especially if your a girl. Its good money.  Big Sky, Montana is one of the premiere ski resorts in the Northwest and its 45 minutes away from Bozeman.  Bridger Bowl is 30 min away and their mountain is definitely respectable as well + cheap lift tickets.  Beautiful place to live.  You gotta check it out.  Good luck!

gotta be a way to consolidate and reduce that debt...that would be my first priority....they might accept a settlement for like 20 gs if you promise to pay it off in a year. consult someone

i would pay it off. you dont want to be in debt. or, like dave said, move to bozeman. my rent, which is about normal is about 400 bucks a month. and if the cats paw is hiring.. likr he said, thats a good job

Well I have chosen Park City based on how close it is to home. And I know I can get my debt knocked down but it would be easier to pay from Boise but I hate it here. I would much rather almost deal with the debt when I can and get out of this hell hole but its not the smart way....here is where I am stuck

yeah I just hate big cities even boise is too big. But maybe its what I need is to just move....

You are making a really stupid mistake if you want to move out there, make less money, and pay more of a rent when you are in that much debt. You should be focused on your financial affairs instead of worrying about skiing. Right now, not skiing is the least of your problems. Use your common sense, get yourself out of debt. Don't exacerbate the situation by pulling a stunt like this. This shit will haunt you for the rest of your life. Debt can't just be wished away. Work hard.

Is happiness worth money? I mean it would get paid off but its the time differential. Whose to say I don't die in the next two years and all that time was wasted trying to get out of debt and being miserable when I could have been living life to the fullest?

Maybe I am just being ignorant but this shit flusters me ya know. I haven't stopped changing my mind on what to do.

i moved out of Boise this summer. youre gonna miss it. i guarantee you. it always feels like its shitty there but its not at all.

also, switching jobs right now is a bad idea with the economy. but i guess anyone would hire you. its more a bad idea to do anything late in your career at the moment. but that debt is not good. fix that first.

Again, this would be a terrible mistake. Anyone who deals with financial affairs would tell you that. Also, anyone who knows anything would also tell you to pay off your debts, not to move away and live way out of your means. People are ruined over a hell of a lot less than this. This debt will continue to compound itself if you don't get on it, and when that happens, it will STEAMROLL you into the ground.

I'm sure you could find a place in park city for less than $1,200 a month.  For one person that is pretty ridiculous.  I'm sure you could find something half that price if you look around.
