Replying to Suspected Terrorist for a Day
Alright, so while I've been home on winter break from college, I've been working downtown at this chemical manufacturing plant in Cincinnati. We're making this product called Lampricid that is a larvicide for the dreaded sea lamprey. Anyway, today my brother and I have to run some chemical valves over to this other plant, so my boss gives me a visitors clearance pass. So off to the other plant we go. I get there and we pull up to the security gate, and the guard comes outside. I flash my pass, and he's like 'So, what do you want?' I just give the basics like, yea I have to deliver these chem valves to C building from Team Solutions. And he just looks at me like I'm full of crap and says 'I don't think so.' So I'm like wtf. He gets on his radio and then goes over to the police who are tag-teaming with the rent-a-cop. He comes back and is like, where did you get this clearance. I just said from my boss Wayne, but I actually don't know his last name, so they didn't seem to believe that. So he gets on his radio and confers with more police. So I'm gettin annoyed now and I shove the invoice for the order in his face, and the valves I'm delivering are in the back seat. He's like 'Hmmm Refinished Chemical Valves... that's nice, how about we see what's in your trunk.' I'm like awesome and pop that bitch open to reveal CD's, a skateboard, and a pair of boxing gloves. So eventually he gets the person in charge to contact the place I say I'm from, and they're like who did you send over here, and they said 'Marty's sons,' because my dad has worked w/ both companies and was friends w/ the managemnt asking. So they say they can let us through, but the security and cops stop us and give us these passes w/ special numbers. And they tell us that those are to ID us in case anything blows up while we're in there. So eventually I got to make the delivery with no further problems and leave hotspot for potential terrorism just outside the suburbs of cincinnati. The End.
