Hi, I have a pair of Krypton Rampages and was wondering how I go about changing the flex, I'v been told its by removing the plastic spoiler or w/e in the back of the boot, I dont see how this would change the flex but been a light guy I want to try out the 80 flex.
Thanks in advance. Peace.

The only way to change the flex, is by switching the front plastic piece to the softer one. The spoiler adjusts your forward lean in the boot.

Removing the spoiler might soften the boot up. Resistance/flex also comes from the back of the boot, and the spoiler probably gives some resistance in the back. Can't hurt to try.

Well when i got my gear I was rushing up to the hill so I didnt get any of that shit, I will get back to the shop and ask them for it and ask them how to do it just the guy who actually knows stuff was out today. I would have thought changing the tongue would change the flex ala full tilts but looking at my liners I dont see how thats possible there like melted to the tongue. Oh well thanks for the tips anyway peace.

I'm not wrong, how ever I did forget that part. I have these boots for shit sake. Looking at the user manual, he insert in the high position is for a hard forward flex, low is medium and out is the softest. This is only forward flex though, you do still change the tongue for flex as well.

The plastic piece behind the liner is usually not there by default. You are probably already set up for the softest setting.

if the spoiler is not in the back of the boot then it is on the softest setting, to add stiffness add the spoiler that corresponds with the stiffness you want. you must take the liner out to do this

to add if you want to go softer than the 80 flex it is possible to grind the tongue in the grooves and remove plastic on the sides of the tongue, but this will only add minimal noticeable flex. the simple solution to this is simply go to a dalbello dealer and order a set of d flex tongues.

i havent seen them but you could to a store that sells them and ask if you can buy different toungs. a good shop usualy stocks parts for boots, so they might stock toungs, and if not they could probly order them for you
