Taller boots?

just something that ive been thinking about over the past week...... why arent ski boots made to come further up your leg? i mean, thinking about it, wouldnt it help in alot of different areas? like shin bang, more boot to control the ski with, more secure foot hold etc..... what do you think?

i was thinking the opposite would be better for freeskiing, smaller boots.

it seems like it would feel really awkward and like you were wearing hooker boots. and i don't think you would be able to bend your knees as well which would make tricks much harder but it could be good for pow

The boot might then go up too high and rape your calf muscles. If you want taller boots, check out lange. If they fit you, your desires will be fulfilled.

they used to make boots taller, i dont know what the advantage this offered but they stopped making boots tall

And again, word.  Lange makes arguably the best boots out there - you just have to be able to fit into them.
