Kids hating on being "thug"

I've noticed an influx of kids coming on NS and tearing apart some of the most legit skier's out there for wearing tall tees and acting thug.

First Off, There not really acting thug. There acting like there having fun. They like rap music, that doesnt make them thug. I like phish, and I dont have dreads and wear tye dye all the time. But back to them, theres a rap culture that anyone can subscribe to no matter what color your skin or where you from.

I see kids trying to act cool trying to hate on Henrik, Tom Etc saying there fake and shit, well first off they slay harder than you ever will. Which makes them pretty damn legit in my book, sure they like wearing big tees and adding a little dance to there style. I dont know how thats THUG though thats there style.

Also, we are skiers and we are all shaping our sport, and last I checked our sport is called Freeskiing, FREE being the keyword there. You know what these guys have in commmon with Rappers and nasty guys from the hood. They got style man. When there on skis there showing style and flow, just like some guy on a street corner throwing down rhymes with style and flow. So I say go ahead and wear tall tees and do what ya gotta do. These guys are for real, sure we might be far from the hood, although its not as far as you'd think.

So I'd have to say in conclusion, I'm pretty sick of kids acting like stuck up white rich kids ( oh wait ) and let these VERY Good Skilled Skiers do there thing.

if you dont like it look away, but none of you have the skill to back yourselves up, so dont call them up. I'm sick of reading this shit.

sorry but i found this funny, honestly the ski area is about as far from the hood as you can get, ski areas are some of the richest whitest places in the world.

i sorta agree with the rest of what you said, people do freak out a little too much about what other people wear, a little hate isnt a bad thing, people need to know when shit gets out of hand, but when people hate every new edit with a rap song then its just pointless hate.

this is my opinion. i like people like tom, i met him in real life and he was super cool and nice, if he wasnt wearing baggy clothes id mistake him for like a nerdy math wiz. so yeah i have no problem with people like him who dont act like a thug. what i hate is when people actually act like it.
i see so many thugged out kids in the park with the biggest attitude problems, ive gotten yelled at twice by gangster kids this year, one time for wearing tight pants, and one time for goofing off, and a couple times for not using poles. and yeah ill hate the shit out of them back cause they deserve it.
these people trying to actually act thug deserve all the hate they can get.

now the thing i dont like about this whole thug trend is the lack of creativity, literally 90% of the edits in the video section are a bunch of kids afterbanging 20 ft. 3's to a lil wane song, everyone thinks the only cool way to ski is to be like brogan.
skiing needs to take a hint from skateboarding and just accept it when people be who they want. cause you know that 95% of the thugged out kids out there do it cause its the hawt thing to do, and to those 5 percent that actually dress thug cause they want to and they like it then props to them.

Well put everyone. I personally don't have ultra baggy stuff because i just can't ski like that. Its all personal opinion and nobody should tell you you look like a gaper or whatever. And i absolutely hate when people say that tom and henrik are fake. Henrik is the biggest beast in the world. he rips the mountain with a style unlike anyone out there. This goes for any freeskier. Thats what makes the sport. Everyone is different and unique in their own way.

hell yes i agree with this 100% one of my videos was just littered with "your so thug" comments just cuz there was a rap song on it and i afterbanged a couple rails.

Im from buffalo ny currently the shittyest city in the u.s. i still wear tall tees and baggy shit every day in the city. Im not "gangsta", not trying to be. i just respect and like the style. Thanks you. i tried afterbanging and it just wasn't workin for me so i don't do it. i tried his style. it works for him. didn't work for me so much. so i don't have ultra baggy clothes. I'm tired of people hating. i might just have to send all of the hate threads to his facebook. that would be somewhat epic

i think your a tool for saying that. like the man who created this thread said. it shouldnt matter how you want to dress and act. its called freeskiing man. if someone wants to wear tall ts and bandanas, and listen to rap or whatever, go for it. if they want to wear a cowboy hat, have a piece of straw in their mouth, and listen to country, if they enjoy doing that they should. i dont like country, or that style, and thats personal preference, but i could care less if someone as a different style. its called individuality, without individuality and a different style there wouldnt be any twin tips....

if you don't want people to hate on you for your lack of style (yes, that's what it is), then you shouldn't hate on anyone else for theirs. and you can't tell me that at least 2/3 of the kids in this thread who are trying to defend their "style," haven't hated on anyone else for theirs.

Good points, but people tend to overestimate the amount one needs to care in order to make judgments or drop an insult.  Obviously all parties involved care to some degree, but its not like anyone is losing sleep over it.

We make judgments every day knowingly or not, when these judgments are expressed suddenly people flip out. Moreso on the internet since being blunt has no real reprecussions, its different from real life, and not necessarily a bad thing, it gives people more insight into how others think and react (end tangent).
Anyways the whole care thing can always be countered with
"Why do you care so much that I care what he is wearing"
See where it goes? Nowhere. Fact is, people do give a shit (just a little, but enough) whether they pretend to or not~

Id actually argue the average age of an NSer is more around 18 or 19 (many of us used to be those annoying 15 year olds), my age, the whole everyone on NS is 15 thing is a myth. Oh and yes im completely pretentious, wouldnt have it any other way. If im too nice about it then nobody else will step up~

I don't really like baggy stuff but I won't hate on it.  I really do not think this was a necessary thread.  Don't get so worked up over some people over the internet.  "haters don't even like themselves so of course they hate you" -DL Incognito.  I would just ignore them.  This only makes them want to prove you even more.  You are basically stating an opinion, that's what they were doing.  Just leave them alone.  If they're really getting to you, then you're taking someone's opinion too seriously.  Just look, you get mad because a few people state a strong opinion, so then you take the time to make a whole thread.  Let them be different, I don't want to see every park skier thugged out and in XXXL.  Plus, let's face the reality.  Baggy is not forever, it's a fad that will go away.  Again, I do not hate on someone's opinoin.  Just let them be and don't make a fucking thread all about this.
