Looking for the perfect park ski ++++++karma

Right now I have 07/08 AR6s and they are 166s and they seem way to flexible probably because I am 6ft 145. I am not sure what skis to get, they should not be to flexy or to stiff, a little wider is better, and they need to be able to do some groomers and steeps runs. But I will be in the park doing jumps,pipe, rails, etc. I have 08/09 obSETHeds for pow and all that. I want a bit of a wider ski that doesn't cost to much and I will probably be getting these over summer after the price goes down.

The fujas are the most flexy ski I have ever seen in my life. Bad choice for you.
I would go with the Rossi S5s, super dope ski, plenty stiff and if you centered them would slay park.
I have S5s right now, I'm 5'10 150 and they're probably the best ski I have ever owned or skied. The 185 length would probably be perfect for you.
Possibly out of your price range, but worth every penny.
You have to be way fucking aggressive if you have them though, or they'll toss you.

I rock the AR6 in a 181 and love them. I am 5'10" and 185lbs. They are great for everyday riding from park/pipe/gromers
Not sure how wide you are looking to go under foot, but I find these perfect for everything that I'm not riding my JJ's on.

It is god that you are asking this because it shows that you actually care. First off, I would look at getting skis a bit longer considering your height and height. I am 5'8" and 125 lbs and my two pairs of skis are 170 cm long and 179 cm long. I would consider the following skis:

Volkl Bridges or Liberty Hazmats for being a super good park ski but still being able to handle pow and all mountain with ease.

Or for just mainly pure park with a little other stuff on the side, I'd go with:

Volkl Wall

Salomon Suspect

Head JO Pro ( only if you can look away from the topsheets)

Salomon Threat

K2 Extreme

or the Amplid Anti Dogma ( If you want something that not many others will have )





The Threat is only 450 bucks but get the longest length if you do at 176. They were one of the top ranking park skis for 09, can't beat that!

i have anthems and the only thing thats bad about them is their not very durable but besides that totally sweet ski good on everything but ice

Almost all skis that have been said here are exactly what your looking for. In my opinion if i were in your position though, i would lean towards Volkl Walls/ Bridges, Line Chronics or maybe Liberty Hazmats/Phil larose. A few that have been mentioned are probably not what your looking for. Anthems are super soft but also very responsive if you take it out of the park because of their dimensions. I have the K2 Extremes and i would probably not suggest getting them unless you want a relatively stiff ski, they are too stiff for me and the topsheets have been chipping since the first time they hit snow. Hope this helps.

Personally i havent ridden suspects so i could not tell you a full story, but i have flexed them just in shops and they are damn stiff,and ive been hearing very many complaints about quality this year. In my opinion again i would steer as far away from suspects as you can.

Yes true, but worth the money, Volkl has one of the best quality and an amazing warrentee. Maybe chronics?

I've heard bad things about the suspects, such as edges ripping out in a couple weeks or less, even bases ground down to wood in a matter of weeks or months. my chose would be volkl walls.

Umm i'd have to say the anthems for a good price pretty wide pretty poppy but there pretty soft.
I guess if you went with the biggest size then they'd be pretty decent.
But what ever you do do NOT get and 2008/2009 salomon skis.
they fall apart very easily.

id go last years t halls they r very licht and flexy im 5'7 and they r 176. they r perfect for groomers and park and urban and also do prity good in pow concidering them only being 87 onder foot.  they r very nice and also very cheep since they r last years.  around 275

anthems are such a dope ski. def go with them. they have a killer butter zone and next year's graphics are looking so hood

anthems are mad poppy and hella fun, you can use the butter zones to like snap ollies like you would on a snowboard or like a bmx sorta (simular feeling) they can get a tiny bit sloppy on ice though, i use them as a one ski quiver currently, but when i move back out west in a couple years, ill probally invest in two seperate skiis for pow and park.  sorry i cant give opinons on anyhting else, only other ski ive had were fugatives which i really didnt like much

chronics. medium flex, stiff enough to rail, soft enough to butter, boatloads of pop.

anthems are dope too, bit wider, very very buttery, but they ski a bit stiffer than they hand flex. bc of the butter zone, they flex mad soft longitudinally, but relatively stiff torsionally (edge hold)

3 Skis I personally think will fit your bill:

Volkl Bridge - My personal ski. Unbelievable all mountain ripper. Super light. Perfect flex. Quick turns and big turns are so effortless. Great in park, ok in pipe

K2 Extreme - Great Park ski. Good Pipe ski. Good all mountain ski too. Softer flex. If you love K2's, you'll love these babies


Volkl Wall - Just a great ski. Medium Flex, all mountain capibilities with park and pipe routes. Narrow especially for pow but super stable and just flat out fun.

Either volkl walls or ledges. They are both stiff and poppy center mounted slay in park like no ones business. Great construction throughout the ski. I have ledges but I have skied walls both skis are great imo.

I would certainly go for the Anthems, they are a great ski for the park with there nasty butter zones. Evogear.com has them on sale, so i would definitely grab a pair before they sell out!!

get some line chronics. They are not as expensive as the volkl walls. And they are fairly stiff. They do very good on groomers.
