Am I the only one who doesn't identify in mankind's obsessive compulsion to watch a bunch of glorified meatheads throw a ball around a field? It's like life has gone on hold for everyone this afternoon so they can watch the idiotbox.

No hate on football, to each their own when it comes to which sports you enjoy, but I just don't find it that interesting to watch or play.

yea but there is something about watching it live....it also gives you something to talk about monday morning with your bros....not the best comparison but its like why watch skiing when you can watch an edit with the top 3 runs...i guess its just because some love to watch/play the game of football

no offense to football fans, but when a ton of the excitement over a game comes from what commericials there will be, there is no hope left them for the sport. I hate people who say "i watch it just for the commercials" because you are really missing the point of the SPORT.

You never hear someone say "yea, i watched the world cup final just for the commercials." You watch it to see the game, not someone's stupid effort to sell you something.

As for me, the big game this weekend already happened, and liverpool won.

fuck you guys playing football back in high school was one of the best experiences of my life and was so much fucking fun. just watch how hard they hit each other ever single play and how tough it is to be that fast and strong and in such good shape. don't hate until you try.

yea i know but i was trying to talk about the superbowl from the viewpoint of those who dont love sports so much...I personally dont watch the superbowl just for the commercials, my mom however isnt really that much of a football fan but she still watches the superbowl....Take it from someone who at one point played more sports than there were seasons I watch because I love football....Just tryin to say that different people watch for different reasons

oh i understand it, i wasn't trying to call you out or something. I just find it kind of annoying when people say they watch it just for the commercials, as if the game itself is actually just getting in the way of them seeing ads.
