Usps ripping people off???!?!?!?

this is kind of a rant but......

usps is fucking gay, my moms friend sent me a birthday card with 20$ and stickers in an envelope for my birthday. It took it a month to get here, and all that came was the stickers, there was no card or money.

and then I did a trade with a guy on here, I traded him GTA IV for 1242 and a line headband, well he sent it in a manilla envelope and all that came was the headband....no fucking movie......maybe it has something to do with the manilla envelope, or maybe my mail man is a dick

BUT USPS IS FUCKING GAY

Well if its a person its obviously YOUR local post office that's doing the ripping off. because it would be a huge coincidence if both of the other two regional post offices ripped your shit off.

yeah, thats kinda what i was thinking. and I usually get quite a few packages because I trade a lot of shit on here. and so my post man might think I'm mad rich or something, and taking my shit wont matter to me. And the weird thing is, the post man usually comes at like 3 30, I got home at like 3 40 and he had already come that day, and there was 2$ sitting on my door step. I think me jacked one of my packages, because I was expecting it that day. WTF is this shit, like honestly. UPS ftw next time.

UPS is probably the shittiest company ever, they charge you so many random ass fees its insane. Just get whoevers sending you something to get proof of what they are sending thru photos or something, and email you them so if your shit does get jacked, just send a complaint to usps and hopefully get your shit back.

i sent some skis to canada and it took 3 weeks to get there and i sent skis with skins and usps lost the skins and i contacted them 5 times for a claim and they never responded. i just get everything insured now, i suggest you do the same

I've never had a problem. First of all, never send cash. Fucking retarded. Second, always tape your package and use proper protection from sight and from them throwing the package. Package it like you're traveling through iraq. Third, always get a tracking number and insurance. Pretty much common sense to me but people are dumb.

It's not the entire USPS system dude, you should have gone to them, not NS.  Be serious, it's most likely you d-bag mailman.  Ours just changed after we started getting mail only one day a week and we complained.  It could be someone who works at the post office too.  Talk to them, not NS.

i mean cmon, you think USPS really opens up packages or envelopes and takes stuff out? and then they tape it back up or something? i mean they can't redo an envolope after opening it... and retaping a box, explain the cut tape under the new tape?

i donno, it seems like you might of done something wrong...

there are actually ways to open envelopes w/o tearing them. u can put it in the freezer or steam it open, and ive never tried it but Ive heard its re-sealable after secretly opening envelopes

well i've never had a problem, and its a government run service... and i don't think there is anyway the people working there are opening up your stuff and taking things out. And i doubt the people that work there like ski movies...

did the box look tampered with when you got it? maybe the person you bought from ripped you off?

I had one problem with usps once when I was trading skates with a kid on a different forum it took almost 2 months for the skates to get to my house from new jersey and im in pa, not sure if it was the kid or usps but it was total bullshit imo.

haha, that was the first thing i thought of when i read this. (As i looked over my pile of boxes, which have actually come in handy quite a few times)

but i don't know about your problem, it could very well be a mailman or someone working in the mailroom taking stuff. I remember a few years ago the French postal service had a huge problem with that, to the point that my relatives over there couldn't even send cash or anything.

it could be the kids, but both of them have pretty good feedback.

and one of the kids got insurance on the package.........I would just really like to know what happened to the ski movie. like its mindboggling to think about the possibilities

Have used USPS Priority for every single one of my dealings on NS. Check my feedback in my profile, and you will see that it is not just a coincidence, USPS is faster, cheaper, and overall better than UPS, Fed ex, DHL, or anything out there. Just get delivery confirmation (tracking number), and insurance if necessary, and you are golden.
