Ski repair

I just noticed a small gash in the base of my line invaders (08-09) probly from a rail
or something. i was wondering if i should:


#1 just leave it be
#2 wax a heavy coat over the gash
#3 use a different pair of skis if I'm going on the rails

i work in a ski shop and without actually looking at it, i give the best recommendation but personally i would take it into a shop and just have them ptex it. will cost only about 5 bucks and will keep the integrity of your base.
