sliding on wood

I have a wooden flag pole(smooth) and I might set it up as a rail it's 10 feet long and about 2.5 inches wide. Will it work or will I catch my edges too much, I put my ski on it and slid it back and forth and it seemed like it would work...
????

it mite be safer to take some sheet metal and try and bend it over the top part of it. mite not work though never tried it my self

we hit an urban rail and it worked fine after we waxed it. of course it was downsloped.

you just gotta be really careful on the slide and not catch an edge, it's really easy to do that
i myself am not too great at sliding wood, yesterday i caught my insides back edge and ate some serious shit

no, waxing it will make it smoother and you will slide it fast.. It can't hurt to try it, just dont make it 5 ft high.

i do one all the time, it's not waxed, just grinded a bit, it slides fine, slope it down tho.

Just hit it a couple of times and its good. You don't really need wax.

out park was shut down last week so we were sliding a bench and one kid cought an edge and the wood curled up where his edge cought and we couldent slide it any more because the curled wood was in the way
