They've got different types of gloves, Im gonna assume your talking about the pipe gloves.  They aren't incredibly warm or anything, but you should live as long as its not miserably cold.  I use mine unless it's too cold, just b/c i mess with my ipod and stuff.

no offense to simon, but i thnk his empire line is kinda ugly, pro skiers are great at what they do as long as it doesnt involve designing clothes, same with jons cross outerwear

i feel that the gloves are pretty nice not too fancy, a clean look and the logo is a bit lacking in creativity but hey these guys are athletes not designers and i like the empire gloves i think its great when an athlete tries to not just perform in competitions but work on other projects like a ski company or charity

for the OP the pipe gloves are mildly warm i wear those little finger gloves (like when you were a kid) underneath and they are quite nice for hiking the park and such, the grip has lasted surprisingly long, its unscathed on one hand and a bit chewed on on the other but overall i was satisfied with my purchase
