Jon Olsson thinks they're cool, that should be the main argument I think....
Scott Vail thinks they're cool, that should be the main argument I think....
1. Unless your retarded you should be able to ride switch on race skis. I know a kid that stomps 5s off of mini park jumps on race skis after skiing a course for race training.
2. They are much faster, this is indisputable. The base grade is much much higher(better wax absorption), and they are better taken care of.
3. You don't know how sick race skis are until you've tried them. They're sick because if you can ride them you can ride anything. You pick up a pair of race skis and you have bad technique and they will take you for a ride.
4. I encourage everyone who thinks race skis are gay to pick up a pair and try them out, if you're a good skier then you'll be amazed by what they can do. This includes some of the gnarliest tail presses I've ever seen.
people are saying you go faster with this and that...that doesnt even matter, you go fast on pretty much on waxed pair of skiis
the difference race skiis is the technology for the turns and stuff....its the flex and risers under the boots so you can get on your edge and carve well...the top of the ski is really flexible on race ones so you can dig into the snow and carve small turns
i used to race, and now i can pretty much say twin tips can cover any aspect of skiing, most people here are talking about going fast....maybe go down a hill steeper than the one your parks on if you want to go fast?
