Replying to the academy is a bunch of idiots

i was talking with some of my buddies about what were the best movies this year and what should get the academy award. we all came to the conclusion that Return of the King was the best movie, but we also all agreed that it wouldn't win the award. they always give the award to some artsy movie with an actor/actress that is supremely overrated and loved by all the critics. example: saving private ryan was by far the best movie of its year, but the award is instead given to sheakespeare in love, a fake, overdone, unrealistic, and mostly retarded film. does anyone else also notice that movies also have a much better chance if it is somehow related to homos or has jewish producers. that's not cool. now, i have no problem with jews, i actually have a few good friends who are jewish. I do have a problem with being gay, but that is besides the point. i'm just wonderin' why this is, cause i think it's pretty stupid. oh and by the way, from what i read, the favorite to win the award this year is cold mountain. did anyone see that show. i thought it was horrible. it was a terrible representation of the civil war with virtually zero historical significance, at no point was i compelled to care about what happened to the main characters, i don't believe i got anything good out of seeing it, and quite a few times i was checking my watch just to see how much time was left before it would end. i think the only thing that movie sucessfully does is depress you. i think that by some other the other topics on this board it is safe to say that everyone realizes how good a film return of the king was, so i don't even need to go on with that. i think wanted to get this off my chest, so thanks for listening to me rant and rave.
